Interdistrict Transfer Applications

NOTE:

Interdistrict Transfer applications for the 2013-2014 school year may be submitted April 1, 2013.

INTERDISTRICT TRANSFER APPLICATIONS 2013 - 2014

Interdistrict Transfer applications for the 2013-2014 school year may be submitted April 1, 2013.  

 

NOTE: CUSD will continue to process Interdistrict Transfer applications for the 2012-13 school year through the end of May 2013.

 

Interdistrict Transfers must be renewed annually, except for continuing students entering grades 11 or 12. (If the student is a first time applicant in grades 11 or 12, an interdistrict application will be required.)

 

Interdistrict Transfer applications are available at the district office or online at the CUSD website under “Parents.” Please mail completed applications to the address below and maintain a copy for your records. (Please note that the application is two pages in length.)

If you reside in a district other than CUSD, please contact your district of residence to obtain the appropriate application.

 

Per Education Code 46600, Interdistrict Transfer Agreements will be approved or denied within 14 days of the new school year.However, every effort will be made to process applications as quickly as possible in the order they are received.

 

Written and/or electronic notification will be provided to parents regarding the approval or denial of their interdistrict application.In order to ensure the timely response of all requests, we are unable to provide the status of Interdistrict Transfers over the telephone or in person.

 

PARENT EMPLOYMENT: Requests based upon parent employment will require the following documentation:

  • Copy of pay stub or a letter from employer indicating hours of employment and work location 

CHILD CARE: Requests based upon child care needs (K-5) will require the following documentation:

  • A letter from your child care provider verifying the provider’s:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Hours of child care provided

 

CHANGE OF RESIDENCY: Requests based upon a change of residence, will require documentation that verifies the specific moving date:

  • Closing (previous residence) and opening (current residence) utility bill
  • Mortgage, lease, or rental document
