Active Directory Passwords are used for logging onto CUSD computers, accessing your CUSD email and spam filter, internet filter override, connecting with VPN and getting to the MyCUSD website. It is also tied to the Discovery Streaming website which will update to your new password within about 24 hours after a change.
Active Directory Password Criteria
- Passwords must be at least 8 characters long
- Passwords must include three of the following four items
- A capital letter
- A lower case letter
- A number
- A symbol
- Passwords cannot be anything you’ve used in the past.
- Passwords cannot contain any part of your name
After you change your password
After you have changed your password, make sure you login to any laptop you may have using the new password while you are still at the CUSD site. Also, remember to change the password on any device, like an iPad or cell phone, which you have configured to receive your CUSD email.
When you’ve been assigned a temporary password, you will need to log on to a CUSD Dell computer at a CUSD site before trying to access your email or VPN from home. The temporary password will bring you to a screen that requires you to change your password. To be successful, use the criteria listed above.
