CUSD Opens Financial Transparency Portal to Community

In an effort to provide a more inclusive and transparent budget, the Capistrano Unified School District is pleased to open our Financial Transparency portal. Capistrano Unified partnered with OpenGov to provide a new web-based financial transparency and intelligence tool that dynamically presents the District's revenues and expenses including historical trends, Community Facilities District (Mello-Roos) monies and line item details.

"I am thrilled that students, families, community leaders and stakeholders will have direct access to our finances, budget, revenue and expenditures," stated CUSD Board of Trustee President Martha McNicholas. "This portal furthers our commitment to transparency and engaging members of our community in an open and collaborative partnership committed to serving children."

We invite you to explore our new OpenGov site to gain a better understanding of Capistrano Unified School District’s expense and revenue data. Our new OpenGov site allows you to explore the District's budget and historical finances in a simple graphical interface. This site provides you the opportunity to view, filter, and analyze revenue, expense, and balance sheet financial data. Each graph or chart is interactive, dynamic, and shareable.

You can access the CUSD Financial Transparency Portal here:

Once inside, you will have the opportunity to learn how the OpenGov platform works or start exploring our financials instantly (see exhibit below).
